When an AC system starts struggling to keep up, most homeowners don't realize how much they're losing - higher energy bills, uneven cooling, and a unit working twice as hard just to stay barely functional. At that point, a repair is just a Band-Aid. A full replacement is the smarter move.

Here's what we were working with on this one. The homeowner needed a full system swap - outdoor condenser and the air handler up in the attic. We went with a 4-ton Trane unit, which is one of the most reliable names in the business for a reason. Trane equipment is built to handle serious heat loads without flinching, and it holds up over the long haul.

The indoor side of this install is where a lot of the real work happens. Getting up into a tight attic space, pulling the old air handler, and fitting the new one with properly routed refrigerant lines and condensate drainage - that's where shortcuts show up later as problems. We don't take shortcuts. Everything was tied in clean, with new copper refrigerant lines running the full length of the system. Copper matters here - it handles pressure and temperature changes better than anything else, and it lasts.

New copper lines are something a lot of companies skip to save time or cut costs. We don't, because old lines can carry contamination from a failed system straight into your brand new equipment. That's not a risk worth taking. When you're investing in a new installation, the whole system should be fresh.

The finished setup outside is clean and solid - the condenser is set on a proper pad, tucked against the brick with good clearance for airflow. This home is ready to handle the heat without a second thought.
